Elephant Parade London celebrates the magnificent Asian elephant in the most colourful way possible. But tragically, this iconic animal is on the brink of extinction due to massive habitat loss. It is simply running out of space and time.

The mission of Elephant Parade  is to become the world's largest financial support organisation for Asian elephants. This new project aims to raise public awareness, gather signatures for a government petition, and raise vital funds for conservation projects in Asia.

IVORY TREE DESiGNS is a proud  to announce its sponsorship of 

"Decors" (no 48) one of 258 elephants placed around the capital as part of

Elephant Parade London 2010

 "All those who grew up with Colonel Hathi in the Jungle Book film, or those even older (like me) who remember him from the book of Mowgli by Kipling, must be shaken to know that without our help the magnificent Asian elephant may die out altogether. How dreadful to think that we may cause the extinction of this giant in our lives: and how fabulous to know that by supporting Elephant Parade and Elephant Family we can turn the tide and ensure their survival. All Elephants will be auctioned on 3rd July at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in a bid to raise £2million to support the work of the Elephant Family who have been campaigning for the conservation of the endangered Asian elephant since 2002. They are the only UK charity dedicated solely and exclusively to saving the Asian elephant from extinction in the wild. 

Please support the charity by signing their petition, or even bidding on one of the elephants.

Jody is further looking forward to supporting the rapidly decreasing elephant population when she goes to Sri Lanka in the summer to work with the Millenium Elephant Foundation.

From September 2010 Ivory Tree Designs will be selling a range of porcelain mugs as part of their new homewares range.

A minimum of £1 per elephant mug will be donated to the Elephant Family (further details to follow)

Furthermore, we hope to have some limited edition versions of these mugs signed by some well known individuals

ALL proceeds from the sale of these special mugs will be given in their entirety to the Elephant Family
